Aldi to Open Another Store in Kansas

Earlier this year, the Aldi grocery company announced an ambitious expansion plan. According to a March press release, the company aims to open 800 new U.S. locations by the end of 2028. A list of new locations indicates that at least one of these new stores will be coming to Kansas.

The new market will be located at 12055 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park. It will be the fourth location for the city and the 29th in the state. Aldi, headquartered in Batavia, Illinois, currently operates nearly 2,450 locations nationwide.

The grocer, whose roots trace back to Essen, Germany, opened its first U.S. store in Iowa in 1976.
