Independence man indicted for meth and firearm possession after police chase

An Independence, Mo., man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for possessing methamphetamine and firearms illegally following a high-speed chase with law enforcement.

Clinton W. Davis, 36, faces a four-count indictment handed down by a federal grand jury in Kansas City, Mo., on Jan. 8, 2025. The indictment replaces an earlier federal criminal complaint filed on Dec. 23, 2024.

Davis is charged with possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, and two counts of being a felon in possession of firearms…
