It’s a difficult time to be part of the manufacturing industry as yet another Missouri plant has announced its closure which will mean 90 workers will be jobless in July based on a notice submitted to the state.
The newest WARN notice just posted to the Missouri Jobs site reveals another manufacturing facility that is calling it a day. A document shared by Briggs & Stratton – Billy Goat Facilities in Lee’s Summit, Missouri says the plant located at 1803 Southwest Jefferson St. in Lee’s Summit will be closing with layoffs effective July 2, 2025.
The document shared by Briggs & Stratton – Billy Goat Facilities says that 1825 Southwest Market Street in Lee’s Summit will also be impacted by the imminent layoffs and closures.
This Lee’s Summit, Missouri plant closure apparently does not affect any union employees based on the WARN notice and there’s no indication that workers will be offered positions elsewhere in the company…
