Our next weather system is on the move, and it will bring changes to the Kansas City area. We are First Warning Wednesday for widespread rain, as steady soaking showers move into the region.
TONIGHT: Mainly dry, though a quick sprinkle isn’t impossible. Mild with temperatures largely in the 60s and east winds at 10 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Spotty morning showers, but they will be brief and light. Temperatures start in the mid-50s, with afternoon highs in the low to mid-60s (about 10 degrees cooler than Tuesday). Rain likely in the afternoon, with the best chance in Kansas City from 2 to 6 pm. While a few rumbles of thunder may occur, severe weather is not expected. Rain turns more patchy by sunset.
THURSDAY: Isolated rain possible, with the best chance in the morning. It will be much more dry than wet, however. Decreasing clouds for the afternoon with highs near 70.
FRIDAY: Very pleasant with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 70s…
