Prison for man who fired rifle at police during I-70 high-speed chase

KANSAS CITY —A Kansas City man is going to prison for his involvement in a high-speed chase and police shooting that occurred earlier this year, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson.

Jason P. Keith, 39, pled guilty to Vehicle Hijacking, Armed Criminal Action, Aggravated Fleeing, and 1st Degree Assault. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
