Man held on $50,000 bond after arrest stemming from November incident in Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was booked into the Shawnee County Jail on Sunday after his arrest in connection with a November burglary near downtown Topeka, officials said.

The arrested man was identified as Lamont Donnell Bennett, 42, of Kansas City, Kan.

Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay said Bennett was arrested Saturday in Kansas City, Kan., and was transported back to Topeka on an arrest warrant charging him with aggravated burglary, domestic battery and criminal damage to property.
