On May 12, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Topping Avenue, located in the West Blue Valley neighborhood of East Kansas City.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Carrisa Perryman in an alleyway adjacent to a residence, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services transported her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Preliminary Investigation
