Man caught on tape stealing from KC ice cream shop sentenced to prison

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The man behind the burglary of a popular River Market ice cream shop will spend more than half a dozen years in prison for the crime.

Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson announced on Tuesday, May 20, that John Heckman has been sentenced to spend the next 7 years in prison for a 2024 ice cream shop burglary.
