An investigation continues into a Sunday night fire in South Kansas City at the Coach House apartments on Holmes Road that displaced residents from up to ten units, according to fire department officials.
Eight to ten units of the building on the 11500 block of Holmes Road were damaged in the blaze, according to Michael Hopkins , a spokesperson with the Kansas City Fire Department.
One resident was transported to the hospital for “non-fire related issues.” The Kansas City Police Bomb and Arson Unit was called to the scene and is actively investigating the incident.
Volunteers with the American Red Cross made contact with five people on scene, according to Sharon Watson, Regional Communications Director for the American Red Cross of Missouri and Arkansas. She said ten units were damaged during the fire…
