Prosecutors announce break in Kansas City burglary ring under investigation for a year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Two men allegedly connected to a burglary ring are charged after investigators worked a year to find the people responsible.

Jackson County Prosecutors charged the two Friday morning.

Idonnas J. Gavrilys is the alleged leader of the burglary operation according to prosecutors. He is charged with:

  • 2 counts second-degree burglary
  • 4 counts first-degree burglary
  • 4 counts armed criminal action

The crimes allegedly happened in October 2024.

Dante K. Draper is also charged in the case. He faces:

  • 17 counts of second-degree burglary
  • 2 counts of first-degree burglary
  • 2 counts of armed criminal action
  • 2 counts of stealing
