KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – A beloved Kansas City cafe with a mission to help youth transition from foster care to adulthood has closed to recover from a devastating weekend break-in.

Leaders at Kansas City’s Connect Cafe announced through a social media post on Sunday afternoon that it would be closed on Monday to recover from a weekend burglary. On Sunday morning, security footage captured two masked individuals as they smashed the business’s front door and destroyed the cash register.
