17 victims of fireworks injuries treated Friday at hospitals in the metro

At least 17 people were treated by doctors and nurses in the metro area for injuries from fireworks by 5 p.m. Friday.

The University of Kansas Health System reported that their victims were males between the ages of six and 58. They suffered injuries to their hands, an arm, face, and eye, according to a news release from the health system.
