Car troubles lead investigators to find enough fentanyl to kill dozens

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man found in possession of enough fentanyl to kill dozens could face nearly a dozen years behind bars.

Clay County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, July 4, indicate that Michael M. Bennett, 51, of Kansas City, has been charged with trafficking drugs.

A probable cause statement filed by investigators revealed that around 2:20 a.m. on Friday, law enforcement officials spotted a black Mazda parked in the Emmanuel Karen Baptist Church parking lot.
