A Kansas City man is facing multiple criminal charges, including a felony count of resisting arrest, after allegedly leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Linn County on the night of July 7, 2025.
Court records from the 9th Judicial Circuit of Linn County identify the suspect as Kevin Eric Browne, 44, of Hickman Mills Drive. A warrant issued on July 8 outlines three charges against Browne stemming from a late-night incident involving the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to the felony complaint filed by Prosecuting Attorney Tracy L. Carlson, Browne was operating a vehicle westbound on Highway 36 near Keene Drive when Trooper C. Munch observed him traveling at 81 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated, but authorities allege that Browne refused to exit the vehicle after being informed he lacked a valid driver’s license.
