Abandoned dogs rescued from extreme heat in Kansas City metro

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) – Eight dogs left abandoned in the Kansas City metro are once again safe as volunteers search for their forever homes.

Pawportunities, an animal rescue in Blue Springs, says volunteers have been busy since the Fourth of July holiday, trying to rehome eight dogs who were rescued from bitter situations.

Rescuers said they received the first call on July 4 with reports that 3 dogs were found trying to keep cool under a nearby porch. Friendly neighbors were able to corral the dogs into a pen before rescuers got there…
