Suspect on the run after man found shot, killed inside Woodlen Place Apartments

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Police investigate two possible crime scenes Sunday morning after a man suffering gunshot wounds is found inside a south Kansas City apartment.

Although the man was found bleeding inside a residence, police believe he was shot first on the street outside.

Officers were dispatched to 89th and Troost on a reported ‘sound of shots’ call. While officers were en route, an additional call for a shooting was reported at the Woodlen Place Apartment Complex.

When officers arrived at the residence, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was declared deceased…
