Two individuals have been federally indicted in connection with a string of alleged robberies and attempted robberies targeting financial institutions and businesses in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
According to a recently unsealed indictment filed July 16, 2025, in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Missouri, Makih A. Hall, 21, and Lazaro Medina-Lopez, 29, face charges of conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery, Hobbs Act robbery, and two counts of bank robbery. Hall is additionally charged with one count of attempted Hobbs Act robbery, while Medina-Lopez is separately charged with one count of attempted bank robbery.
