SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – In 2024, 955 people lost their lives in crashes in Missouri; so far, 450 have been killed in 2025, with just over five months gone in the year.
Over the same time frame, Jackson County, which includes Kansas City, saw the most fatal crashes in the state, with 189, followed by St. Louis, at 165. Greene County is third, with 59 fatal crashes, and this year accounts for 20 of them.
