Standing water flooding east Kansas City businesses

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A persistent flooding issue is once again wreaking havoc on businesses near 23rd Street and Television Place, just east of Kansas City – and with more rain in the forecast, local business owners are bracing for even greater losses.

As of Thursday evening, water was still waist-deep in some areas outside the FISCA gas station. The owners could be seen wading through the murky water, carrying sandbags in an effort to keep more of it from reaching inside. The flooding has already destroyed much of their inventory.
