KC firefighters continue water search for possible drowning in Indian Creek

Kansas City firefighters resumed their search Sunday morning for a person who possibly drowned in a Kansas City stream after failing to locate them Saturday night.

The Kansas City Fire Department was dispatched around 6:45 p.m. to Indian Creek, near 103rd Street and State Line Road on reports of a possible drowning, according to Riley Nolan, battalion chief and spokesperson for the KCFD.

Firefighters surveyed the area, spoke to witnesses, walked the banks and set up on bridges above the creek to get a better view before beginning a search of the creek…
