Kansas City-area man indicted in murder of parents at northland hotel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A grand jury indicted a Kansas City-area man accused of shooting his parents in a Northland motel room.

The indictment against Jason Christopher Sessoms, 19, was handed down July 22, 2025, according to online court records.

KCPD identified 42-year-old Marvin Sessoms and 38-year-old Maleeka Sessoms as the individuals shot and killed in a motel room at the Extended Stay at 4301 N. Corrington Avenue. Police were called to the motel at 3:45 a.m. on March 29 to follow up on a missing persons report…
