KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Witnesses told KCTV5 Wednesday afternoon that federal immigration enforcement arrested multiple people at Mexican restaurants in the Kansas City area.
Witnesses said ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) came in from the rear of the building, locked it from the inside and wrote “CLOSED” signs on the doors. Afterward, they arrested employees, the witnesses said.
An immigration attorney said seven arrests were made. Homeland Security Investigations has not confirmed that number.
“Due to an ongoing investigation, HSI is unable to provide any information,” the department told KCTV5.
