KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Have you noticed a haze in the air today? It’s not just you. An air quality alert is now in effect, and it might not be safe for everyone to be outdoors Friday.
“Any time you’re breathing wildfire smoke, you’re breathing in really fine particles into your lungs and it can irritate your lungs,” Air and Mobility Programs Manager Karen Clawson said.
She added that those most affected by this alert are those with pre-existing conditions, including cardiovascular and upper respiratory. Clawson warns of anyone spending time outside today, especially for events like First Fridays in the Crossroads…
