KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As Kansas City prepares to host a handful of FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, thousands of volunteers are still needed to make it work.
Although it’s unpaid, organizers said it’s an opportunity to give back and show off Kansas City.

“We want to have over 15,000 signed up and we just got word yesterday that we have surpassed 10,000 sign-ups,” Lori Thomas, director of volunteers for KC2026, told FOX4 Tuesday.
“We need people from all different backgrounds, cultures, bilingual, etc. We are looking for anyone and everyone that just wants to be part of the Kansas City magic.”…
