Center School District paid former superintendent $470K after claim of discrimination

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Six months after the Center School District Superintendent resigned, new documents show how much the district paid her and the accusations involved in her quietly leaving.

This involves Dr. Yolanda Cargile, who worked as the district’s superintendent for five years.

On Thursday, KCTV5 Investigates obtained multiple documents through a Missouri Sunshine Request. The request includes:

  • a copy of the settlement agreement
  • Dr. Cargile’s contract and resignation letter
  • Jan. 9, 2025 board meeting minutes
