Man charged with felonies, accused of stabbing Shawnee police dog during standoff

Prosecutors have charged a man with three felonies, after he was accused of stabbing a Shawnee police dog over the weekend.

Edwin Perez was charged with counts of aggravated robbery, interference with law enforcement and harming a police dog in Wyandotte County District Court Thursday.
