KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – The future of Kansas City Kansas Public School District’s (KCKPS) Central Middle School is now in the hands of the state.
Central Middle School, just east of Linwood Boulevard and Indiana Avenue, is more than 100 years old and slowly crumbling. It’s one of the oldest school buildings west of the Mississippi and has significant issues, including flooding when it rains heavily. There are also no elevators, making the building inaccessible for some.
