First Warn Forecast: Hazardous heat continues with changes on the way

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Sunday has a First Warn in place as we make our way through the hottest weekend of the year so far.

With a heat advisory issued from 1-7 p.m. again, we can expect feels-like temperatures up to 105 degrees this afternoon, and widespread highs in the mid 90s. While some clouds may shield far northern Missouri from time to time, the rest of us will find plenty of sunshine.

It is possible that we find some rain chances early Monday morning as a potential storm system approaches from the north.

While most model data has this system falling apart before it arrives in the metro, this is something we will be watching very closely as even more students head back to school on Monday morning…
