KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The city of Independence is once again handing out free Narcan to the community this week, in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day.
Over the last three years, the Health Services Division has handed out nearly 1,000 Naloxone kits to residents in Independence. Now, on Wednesday morning, the city will continue to offer people the life-saving medication for free.
