Little son of Deputy Elijah Ming helps put dad’s name on fallen officer memorial

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Just more than one month ago, Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Ming was shot and killed in the line of duty.

On the afternoon of July 26, he had responded to a domestic incident. As he and a Kansas City, Kansas Police Department officer approached the front door of a home, Ming was shot. The deputy died a short time later.

The Wyandotte County Fraternal Order of Police shared a photo on social media Friday morning of Ming’s name being added to the fallen officer’s memorial outside the county courthouse.
