Storm aftermath leaves KCK family on brink of homelessness

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — For the first time in their lives, Aundrèa Charleston and her three children, aged 16, 12, and 8, may be homeless.

“If anybody occupies that building after that deadline, we’ll be arrested, fined, jailed,” said Charleston.

FOX4 Problem Solvers first shared their story Tuesday, facing the possibility of being forced out of their Kansas City, Kansas apartment by Friday. It’s the result of a storm that knocked out electrical service on July 15.
