KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – They weren’t born when it happened, but they stand in honor and salute those lost.
Members of the Washington High School Air Force Junior ROTC Program in Kansas City, Kansas, began bright and early, September 10, honoring those killed one day later, 24 years ago.
The young ROTC members began by posting the colors – or flags – followed by playing the National Anthem and a brief tribute.
The Kansas City, Kansas School District says the event provides students a meaningful opportunity to participate in honoring lives tragically cut short by multiple terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington, D.C., and rural Pennsylvania on the morning of September 11, 2001…
