DEA raid in Independence leads to drug trafficking indictments

A federal grand jury has indicted two Independence, Missouri, residents on multiple counts related to drug trafficking and firearms offenses.

April Henderson, 46, and Donnell Timley, 51, were charged with conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana. Both were also indicted for possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes. In addition, Timley faces a separate charge for being a felon in possession of firearms.

The indictments followed an Aug. 28, 2025, search of the pair’s residence in Independence by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Agents discovered 1.1 kilograms of cocaine, 317 grams of powder fentanyl, 100 fentanyl pills, 10 pounds of marijuana, and eight ounces of suspected liquid PCP.
