KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City daycare owner is raising the alarm about a homeless encampment just steps from her facility, saying city leaders aren’t doing enough.
Megan Huffman, the owner of Rising Sun Learning Center in the Watts Mill Shopping Center, said the issue has spiraled out of control over the past three months – putting her young students, from infants to pre-K, in potential danger.
