Governor Laura Kelly has sent a letter to the Federal Emergency Management Agency requesting a major presidential disaster for the Public Assistance Program due to damage to public infrastructure caused by severe thunderstorms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding during the period of July 17 – July 22, 2025.
