There’s a new speakeasy-style cocktail lounge in town.
The Brass Monkey, which officially opened Friday, is an immersive experience, complete with moody lighting, vintage charm and a touch of theatrics.
The cocktail lounge is attached to the not-yet-open boutique hotel The Riff (307 Admiral Blvd., KCMO), but guests can enter the bar from outside. Just follow the whimsical trail of playing cards from the sidewalk to the door. Once inside, guests flip a power switch near the door to alert staff they’re waiting.
