Kansas City charity has 90-day plan to help people beat homelessness

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Three months may not seem like enough time to achieve certain goals, but for Hillcrest Transitional Housing, that’s all they need to help people pull themselves out of homelessness. They offer 90-day programs putting people and families up in free housing, finding jobs, and so much more.

Taylor Ambler of Kansas City, Kansas, is one of the latest examples. Her life seemed to hit a dead end when her only place to sleep was her car.

“It was hard, I had to give my daughters to family members because I would never let them go through that,” Ambler recalled. “It was just hard to be a mother at the same time.”…
