Kansas City woman sentenced in 2023 vehicle theft, kidnapping

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City woman pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison by the Jackson County Court in connection with a 2023 vehicle theft and kidnapping today, October 2.

According to Jackson County Court Records, 33-year-old Trenise L. Reid pleaded guilty to second-degree kidnapping, vehicle hijacking, endangering the welfare of a child and terrorist threat. Those charges led to Reid being sentenced to a total of 24 years in prison.
