‘Making a dent’: Affordable housing leaders break ground on new development

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City’s latest affordable housing development, Crescendo Townhomes, broke ground Friday morning.

The housing development will include 39 townhomes for families in Kansas City. In partnership with Brinshore Development, the Urban Neighborhood Initiative told KCTV5 this project will help tackle a portion of the homeless community.

Interim CEO and president Sakina Moore with UNI explained the area is great for families, as it is close to the 18th and Vine district, good schools and resources. Moore added there is more coming soon to the area, including a community center…
