She broke both her ankles at KC haunted house. Now she – and others – are suing

A Lincoln, Nebraska, woman filed a lawsuit last Tuesday against a popular Kansas City haunted house after allegedly breaking both her ankles at the attraction in 2021.

Leslie Blake is suing Full Moon Productions, which owns The Beast Haunted House, for negligence and recklessness, according to the lawsuit. She previously sued the haunted house in 2023 for the same incident, according to a Jackson County court document. That case was dismissed in October 2024.

The new lawsuit alleges that on Oct. 30, 2021, Blake visited The Beast in Kansas City’s historic West Bottoms, where she was “given permission to do the ‘Beast Jump,’” from the haunted house’s second-story window, according to the lawsuit…
