KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was killed late Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Southwest Trafficway in a crosswalk. The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) responded to the scene around 11:15 p.m. on October 4, 2025, at the intersection of 31st Street and Southwest Trafficway.
The pedestrian was walking westbound across the Trafficway when a blue Mazda CX-9 traveling northbound struck him. KCPD noted that the vehicle had a green light at the time of collision.
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not yet been released…
