Judge: Case against politicians accused of linking man to Chiefs rally shooting can proceed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A defamation case against two Missouri politicians accused of falsely linking a Kansas City man with involvement in the Chiefs championship rally shooting will move forward after a judge denied their motions to dismiss.

Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins and state Sen. Rick Brattin face allegations that they linked Denton Loudermill to the February shooting on social media and falsely called him an illegal immigrant.

Loudermill, who has since died, was born in the United States and was never accused of firing any shots during the rally incident…
