A Shoal Creek police officer was injured while conducting a traffic stop north of Kansas City Saturday.
Kansas City police responded just after midnight with other local divisions to Interstate 29 near NW Waukomis Drive on reports of an officer with serious injuries, according to Capt. Jake Becchina, spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department.
A preliminary investigation indicates an officer was sitting inside a blue Dodge Durango police vehicle just after midnight Saturday assisting a DUI officer on a traffic stop.
