Park Hill School District: Plaza Middle students escorted into building after reports of possible shots fired nearby

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Some students were escorted into school this morning after reports of shots-fired nearby.

The sound of ‘two gunshots’ were reported around 6:45 a.m. in the parking lot of a vacant K-Mart building near Plaza Middle School at I-29 and 72 Street, Thursday, October 15.

Out of an abundance of caution, Platte County Deputies walked some students into the school building as they began arriving. Classes began as scheduled at 7:15 a.m., according to a Park Hill School District spokesperson…
