Kansas City street being named after America’s first Black female millionaire

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Kansas City street is being named after America’s first Black female millionaire.

On Thursday, the Kansas City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance to designate the block of Euclid Avenue between 11th and 12th Street as “Sarah Rector Way,” in honor of Sarah Rector.
