Family files wrongful death lawsuit after tree trimmer electrocuted

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The family of a tree trimmer, who died after being electrocuted last week in Kansas City, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Evergy.

According to the lawsuit filed in Jackson County on Thursday, Oct. 16, Kessler Brockman was working as a tree trimmer for Asplundh near E. 24th Street and Brighton Avenue on Oct. 8.
