Man found guilty in Kansas City stabbing ordered to ‘120 Day Program’

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man has been sentenced to the “120 Day Program” at the Missouri Department of Corrections in connection with a deadly stabbing earlier this year, court records say.

Leon Reese, 54, was ordered to serve in the short-term program on Friday after he was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, resulting in the death of 52-year-old Eric Stennis in March.

Reese was originally charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and tampering with a witness. However, as part of his guilty plea in August, the previous charges were changed to one count of second-degree involuntary manslaughter…
