KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Wyandotte County workers could soon have more flexibility in where they choose to live. Officials are considering changes to a longstanding residency requirement.
The county currently requires workers to live within county boundaries and move there within a year of being hired. The rule affects around 1,200 employees.
County officials are discussing three options: a 30-mile radius with one year to relocate, Wyandotte County residency with two years to relocate, or a 30-mile radius with two years to relocate.
