Sideshow damages newly renovated Waldo intersection

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A sideshow Friday night damaged a newly renovated intersection in Kansas City’s Waldo neighborhood, destroying permanent street markings that were part of a $14 million project.

The incident occurred at 75th and Wornall around midnight on Friday.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, the first 911 call came in around 12:15 a.m. Officers arrived at the intersection just before 12:40 a.m. and used a police helicopter and stop sticks to break up the event. No arrests have been made.
