KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City neighborhood is coming together after vandals wrecked a food pantry at a nearby apartment complex.
Neighbors said the vandalism happened in the overnight hours on Saturday, November 1, at New View Place, which offers subsidized family housing in 14 apartment buildings in the Old Northeast. Vandals broke raw eggs all over the pantry space and destroyed neatly organized rows of food staples, according to neighbors who shared photos of the damage.
“It was absolutely sick. It was deplorable and just gut-wrenching,” said Tim Quick, who lives across the street from one of the New View Place buildings.
